In May 2008, Mount Carmel Health System, OhioHealth, and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical System joined together to form the Franklin County Mental Health Collaborative. The purpose of the collaborative was to find psychiatric inpatient beds for patients who present in the hospitals’ EDs.
