Members of the Central Ohio Hospital Council (COHC) are working together to reduce the number of infants born prematurely, with an overall goal of reducing incidents of infant death in our community.
We know you can’t wait to meet your baby. But completing your pregnancy naturally gives your baby the time he or she needs to grow completely. That’s why all Franklin County hospitals have agreed to stop the practice of scheduling early deliveries, without a medical reason.
Franklin County hospital systems directly contributed $5.66 billion to the regional economy in 2013. Over the past five years, they provided $2.49 billion in community benefit.
The hospitals in Franklin County operated by the four systems, Mount Carmel Health System, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, OhioHealth, and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, have a substantial impact on the economy of the 10-county Columbus Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA).
