Hospital Community Benefit is a set of activities and initiatives that nonprofit hospitals undertake to improve the health of the communities they serve.
Recognized Community Benefit activities include charity care, community health improvement services, research, health provider education and initiatives to address our community’s most critical health care needs.
The amount of community benefit our hospitals provided in 2022 was $843.6 million, which is 53.8% greater than it was in 2013.
